Brian is the Firm Administrator and Senior Paralegal in the Business Law, Corporate and Real Estate Practice Groups and has more than 20 years of extensive experience in assisting clients, various mortgage companies and lending institutions in the closing of commercial and residential real estate matters.
Mortgage lenders appreciate Brian’s ability to deftly manage client expectations, accurately prepare closing documents and calmly and confidently oversee hundreds of transactions a year. Residential clients quickly come to realize that his vast knowledge of the home buying, selling and mortgaging process helps them avoid unnecessary delay in getting to closing.
Brian has worked extensively with the firm’s clients on maximizing financial and tax incentives which are available through local, state, and federal economic development and tax incentive programs, completing business annual reports, credit claim forms, and additional reporting requirements on behalf of clients in order to maintain participation in the respective programs as well as maximize their benefits.
Brian’s expertise is in the examination of lien searches, surveys, title reports, abstracts and various underlying property agreements, which is utilized while assisting his practice group in large-scale projects, as well as working with local commercial developers, including construction loans, mezzanine financing, liquor license and zoning applications.
Brian, in conjunction with the partners, assists clients select the form of business organization that best suits their goals. When ownership of a business is in transition, Brian assists in planning and document drafting in all phases of the transaction. Transition arrangements vary with each enterprise. In some cases, the new owners are family members or key employees, and in other cases the business may be acquired by a third party through acquisition, merger, or other combination.

Brian assists the firm in providing a broad range of services related to their real estate issues, which include site review, land use approvals and handling the purchase, sale, lease, financing and operation of the client’s real estate holdings.
Brian routinely assists in performing due diligence on behalf of purchasers, sellers, landlords, and commercial tenants so that the clients are fully informed and advised about all parties to the transaction.
Brian also has extensive experience with Condominium developers and Homeowner’s Associations throughout New York State and has extensive experience in drafting covenants, restrictions, and Offering Plans.
